Southwest Louisiana Charter Academy (1700 E. McNeese Street) is celebrating the Pelican State. Don't miss SWLCA Louisiana Day this Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the school. Come hungry because there will be plenty of delicious Creole and Cajun cuisine.

Join the celebration at Louisiana Day hosted by Jackie Simien. There will be plenty of activities and it all kicks off with a full-blown Mardi Gras Parade at 9 a.m. in the school parking lot! SWLCA students and their families are invited, as well as families interested in enrollment for the 2024-25 school year.

Don't miss the Red Beans & Rice Cook-Off and stick around to eat the leftovers. Plus, bring your dance partner so you can Zydeco the day away to the live sounds of Rusty Metoyer and Zydeco Krush!

Celebrate SWLCA Louisiana Day, all day! Amazing food, live music, a silent auction, games, laser tag, and a whole lot more! There's something for parents and students to enjoy throughout the event. This is a SWLCA community event you don't wanna miss, however, if you are interested in enrolling your child at Southwest Louisiana Charter Academy, come join the family.

The public is invited to a fun-filled day for the whole family. See the flyer below for more details and the price of admission. For more details about SWLCA Louisiana Day or enrollment, contact the school at (337) 474 - 7910.
